Olivia Munn is an actress and model who was born July 3rd, 1980 in Oklahoma. She is half Chinese from her mother's side. Her mother was remarried when Olivia was two years old. Because Munn's stepfather was in the Air Force, the family moved many times. However, they primarily resided in Tokyo, Japan.

Munn began her career there in the Japanese fashion industry as a model. Later, she went back to Oklahoma to study journalism at the University of Oklahoma. She minored in Japanese language and dramatic arts. Olivia Munn then went to Los Angeles in order to pursue a career in acting. She got a job with "Fox Sport Net" in 2004 as a sideline reporter. Munn says that she did not like the job because she wasn't comfortable and felt like she needed to act like something she wasn't.

She also got small parts in unsuccessful films like the horror movie "Scarecrow Gone Wild". While in a music video for the group "Zebrahead", she met the lead singer Justin Mauriello who became her boyfriend. In 2005, Munn was in the TV series "Beyond the Break" which required her to surf. The show lasted two seasons. In 2006, Olivia Munn got the job of co-hosting "Attack of the Show!". The show was on the G4 network which was devoted to everything related to video games. Munn also appeared on other shows for the G4 network, though they were initially hesitant to hire her because of her limited knowledge about video games.

In addition to acting, Olivia Munn has modeled for many large campaigns including "Nike", "Neutrogena" and "Pepsi". She frequently appeared in magazines such as "Men's Edge", "Maxim" and "Italian Vanity Fair". She was also in a non-nude spread for "Playboy" in February 2007.
